We only got to meet Kit at the Harley Helping Hands block party a year ago (my husband was the drummer), but were deeply touched by your family. We have continued to keep you all in our prayers. We were so sad to learn of Kit's passing. Rachel, we will continue to think of you, your son, and your new baby girl. May God bless you.

The Ruecking Family sends it's sympathy to an amazing family who raised an amazing son. There is nothing better in life than to spend your energy, time and talent on children-and Bob and Paula-you both were awesome at this. Dan and Taylor were especially saddened and words can't tell you the emotions they felt. Kit was a great guy. And now, he is in an even greater place. God bless you and Kit's wife and children. My deepest condolences to all of Kit's family and friends. I had the pleasure of working with Kit at Clinphone and will always remember him as an all around amazing guy- gentle, kind, hilarious, extremely bight, and larger than life. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I have not seen Kit since high school, but have good memories of him from our basketball days in jr. high and into high school as well. Kit was a real go-getter who wanted to be the best and it showed. He left an example of hard work and ambition for others to follow. My deepest sympathies to the family.

We got to know Kit through John and Margaret Hoerster. Eight years ago, when we all lived in Lincoln Park, we could always count on Kit to be there for a fun night out, and for many games of Trivial Pursuit. He was always hilarious, energetic, and kind to all of us. It has been many years since our last Trivial Pursuit game with Kit, but we were deeply touched and saddened by his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Rachel, his son Bradyn, and his soon-to-be-born baby girl.

I did not know Kit but he is a friend of my son David Mitria - they were fraternity brothers. I was so moved by this story that I just felt I needed to extend my condolences. Kit and his family are in my prayers.

While my interactions with Kit at Clinphone were relatively brief, he constantly impressed me with the passion and enthusiasm that he brought in working with his customers and colleagues, especially in the face of battling a nasty disease. I can only imagine that carried over, in multiple, into his personal life. And it will be those memories, that will keep Kit in our thoughts and hearts forever. Kit, and his family, will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I first met Kit about 25 years ago when he became friends with my little brother. The true measure of a man is the legacy that he leaves behind and Kit's legacy and the impact that he has had on so many is awe inspiring.
