DUSAN ZIVKOVIC Obituary
Dr. Dusan M. Zivkovic, 77, born in Beograd, Serbia, passed into eternal life at his home in River Forest, IL on Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Dearly beloved husband of Zorica; loving father of Zoran D. Zivkovic and Susanne D. (Ivan) Vasic; proud grandfather of Marija and Dushan Zivkovic and Aleksandar and Katarina Vasic. Dr. Dusan Zivkovic practiced obstetrics and gynecology in the Chicago area for many years. He will be deeply missed by family, friends and relatives in the USA and Serbia and by all who knew him. Memory Eternal. Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) Friday, February 18, 1 p.m. at the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 5701 N Redwood Drive in Chicago. Interment New Gracanica Monastery, Third Lake. Donations to the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral appreciated. Dr. Zivkovic was my mom´s and my doctor for many years. He delivered my daughter in 1989. He was the kindest doctor a woman could ask for. RIP

The doctor delivered my two children john and lena Delgenio At Columbus hospital in Chicago, he was the best or beginning Doctor I ever had.He treated me so much. respect My children John is 45 And lena is 41 We all live in florida God bless to you family, so sorry for your loss.He was a great Dr

Dear Zivkovic Family,
I was very saddened to hear about your loss. The photo of "Cika Dusko", as I knew him, captured exactly the image of him I have from many years ago, hanging out in our house in Sauganash, with his good buddy -- my dad. I'll never forget a birthday party of mine at which Cika Dusko gave me the very generous (even by today's standards!) gift of fifty dollars. I remember walking up to him in a crowded room of adults hanging out and announcing in front of everyone: "Hvala za pedeset dolara," which got Cika Dusko laughing.
He was part of my extended family of sorts ... part of my childhood ... and I'll miss him, too even though I can't quite recall the last time we've all seen each other.

Dear Zorica and the family,
It is with great sadness that we received the news about Dusko's passing. For us - my two sisters and myself - Dusan was our favorite and best loved cousin and brother. I remember him in his prime in Belgrade as an excellent student , wonderful sportsman, good brother and devoted son. And I remember how much he was in love with Zorica and what a great looking couple they were.
We will miss Duja greatly but wiil always remember him with great fondness and keep him in our memory as an example of a life well lived.
