Elizabeth "Betty" Trojan nee Dorsch of Naperville, formerly of Niles and Des Plaines, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015. Betty was born on October 20, 1921, in Chicago, IL, to John and Anna Dorsch. She married Matthew M. Gross on December 24, 1941, as a war bride and they enjoyed 48 years of marriage. Matthew passed away August 24, 1989. Betty worked for both the Amalgamated Meat Cutters Union and then the Polish Women's Alliance. Betty loved her family and friends and they were the center of her life. Beloved mother of Marilyn (Gerald) Tyschper and Karen (Anthony) DeFarno; dear grandmother of Keith Tyschper (Carlos Paret), Jerilyn Lissau, and Kevin(Morgan) Tyschper; loving great-grandmother of Meredith Lissau, Niles, Faye, and Greer Tyschper; fond sister of Thomas (Adwana) and Daniel (Phyllis) Dorsch. Betty was preceded in death by her late husband Edward Trojan, brothers Leonard, Jack, and Eugene Dorsch and dearest companion, Ed Zalesny. Visitation Monday 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Hwy. / Rt. 14 at Rand Rd.) Des Plaines; friends and family will gather on Tuesday at 9:00 am for prayers prior to proceeding to St John Brebeuf Church, 8305 N. Harlem, Niles for a 10:00 am Mass. Interment Maryhill Cemetery. What an absolutely beautiful lady and wonderful matriarch. I remember her radiant smile, kind manner and very loving spirit. My sincere condolences to Marilyn and Gerald, Karen and Anthony, Keith and Carlos, Jerilyn, Kevin and Morgan and to all her loving grandchildren.
