Hello
I had the pleasure of purchasing my sailboat "Rose of Sharon" from Mr. Marquard. I am selling her this summer and couldn't find my title to her so I came across this sad news. I only met him a couple of times and he was very nice, a knowledgeable sailor, and gave me a good deal on the boat. She's a wonderful ship. To the family, please take good care. Hopefully the memories you all must have of Rose of Sharon will bring you some joy in these difficult days.

Dear Ruthie, Our heartfelt prayers and love are you and all the family on the loss of your beloved Henry. He was our friend and fellow Guadalcanal Campaign Veterans [GCV] and will be sorely missed by all of us who loved and respected him. Henry was a GCV Director before becoming our Legal Officer. He served faithfully and enthusiastically in that position until September 2009. Henry was always ready to answer a question, with a vigorous voice, even when in poor health. We looked forward to a fun and enjoyable time with Henry and Ruthie at GCV Reunions.
May God Blessings help you through this difficult time,
Love and prayers,
Mary Morgan, GCV Echoes Editor
