Joseph M. Levon was born December 30, 1927 in Chicago to Joseph and Mary (nee Balash) Levon. He died on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at his home in Arlington Heights. Joseph left this world having made a tremendous mark on more people than can be named. He was a hero to his family and friend to all. Joe was the founder of Vonberg Valve, a local hydraulic valve manufacturing company that he and his wife grew to great success, allowing them to be the most generous couple we could imagine. Family was first and foremost in his life and we all live on as a testament to his love, support, generosity and kindness. He leaves behind the love of his life, Dolores (nee Kryza), whom he met on a Greyhound bus and loved unconditionally for over 65 years; his children, Kathie (Paul) Helmick , Joe (Joan) Levon, Mike (Sue) Levon and Marie (Mark) Doll; 15 grandchildren and spouses, and a growing list of great-grandchildren who will miss him every day. Visitation from 3:00 PM to 9:00 pm Friday, October 2, 2015 at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Funeral Mass Saturday, October 3, 2015, at 10:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Entombment is at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
