KAY Witkowski Obituary
(nee Smith), age 70 of Frankfort formerly of Crete, Flossmoor and York, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2013 at home with her family by her side. Kay is survived by her loving family; husband Leon J. Witkoswki Jr. DDS; sons Leon J. (Michelle) Witkowski III DDS and Brian J. (Jessica) Witkowski; grandchildren Kinsley Marie and Penelope Leigh; Brother James E.(Jessie) Smith; sister Teresa Kauffman; brother in law Dr. Robert (Jane) Witkowski and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles E. and Helena M. (nee Mattingly) Smith;brothers Thomas I. Smith, Andrew M. Smith and Harry C "Butch" Smith and sisters Loretta A. Oerman and Dena M. Palmer. Kay was an office manager for Leon J. Witkowski Jr. DDS and a former teacher at St. James Catholic School in Sauk Village. She was an avid Y-ME Breast Cancer Organizer and was awarded as the National Breast Cancer Volunteer. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 3 - 8 pm at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 and again on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Peace Lutheran Church 1900 E. Lincoln Hwy, New Lenox IL 60451 from 11:00am until time of funeral service at 11:30am. Interment will be private.
