Kyran Patrick Conarchy, Jr., beloved by many during his 92 years by living a life fully committed to his faith, family, friends and country, was joyfully welcomed into Heaven October 22, 2013 by our Lord and his parents, whom he lovingly cared for, and many other loved ones. Brother to Marian Weithofer, Angela Hunter and Sister Lois Conarchy SL and brother-in-law to Mary Conarchy and Jane Conarchy. He is further survived by a family who truly treasured him which includes 42 nieces and nephews, 88 grand-nieces and nephews and 56 great-grand-nieces and nephews who fondly called him, deservingly so, "Uncle Goodness". Preceded in death by his parents, Kyran and Jane Conarchy; sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Bob O'Brien; brothers, William and Jack Conarchy; and brother-in-law, Warren Weithofer. He was U.S. Army Executive Officer in World War II and earned four medals, including the Bronze Star. After serving his country, he worked at the Treasury Department and then as Vice President at Harris Bank Glencoe- Northbrook for 39 years. He was a parishioner at Immaculate Conception in Highland Park for over 60 years, where he was a lector, religious education teacher and member of several organizations. Special thanks for taking such tender care of Kyran are extended to Sister Lois Conarchy SL, nieces, Jane Conarchy, Bridget Fonstad and Maureen Hargarten, Dr. John Sultan and Hospice nurses, Olga and Sandy. A visitation will be held Friday, October 25, 2013 from 4-8 pm at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, IL. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 770 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, IL 60035. Final rest will be at Transfiguration Cemetery, Wauconda, IL. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Church or to Ministry to the Elderly and Sick c/o Sister Lois Conarchy SL, 2349 W. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN 46260.
