Lillian Julia Davenport-Partac Obituary
Lillian Julia Davenport-Partac 12.03.1980 - 06.26.2013. Our Lillian is with God and we are comforted by what death could not take. In our memories and battered hearts we will keep: A 6 year old girl that declared she was going outside to make some friends on a sunny summer day. The same girl, who as a teen marched with an all-girl drum and bugle corps and played first chair French horn in her high school band. The Punk rocker and teenage activist who busted her hump to grow up and make a life for herself. The woman with an unshakable insistence that she would finish college while she labored at a full-time job and long nights at Kinkos. The talented artist who meticulously honed her craft. The gorgeous bride overflowing with joy. A woman who believed in building community, supporting small businesses and working from the grassroots up to create change. The self made entrepreneur that built her own graphic and web design business. Her strong belief that we could all live our lives better by making informed, healthful decisions in our everyday lives. Above all, we will remember her triumphs and how she continued to fight, unhampered by life's sufferings. Lillian had style, spunk and pizzazz, an uncommon wit, a flare for dancing, a love of nature and a playful spirit. Lillian laughed loud and hardy and unashamed. She was a brilliant point of light to her husband Mihai Partac, a gentle and persuasive glow to her parents Mark O. Davenport and Jocelyn D. Pinkerton, and a friend, confidant and role-model to her siblings: Zachary T. Lehman, Claire I. Davenport, Gilchrist W. E. Pinkerton and Isabel P. Pinkerton. Lillian had a generous heart that she shared with her huge expanded family and her many close friends and companions. Visitation to be held at Cooney Funeral Home, 3918 W Irving Park Rd in Chicago on Tuesday, July 2nd 3-9 pm. Funeral service to be held on Wednesday, July 3rd at 11am at the same location. Interment Graceland cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a nature conservancy charity.
