Kay & Jim, I just heard about Marty - I am so sorry for your loss. He was like another "little brother" growing up with Michael, Kevin & Joey. I know he suffered in recent years, but I will always remember his amazing smile. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm saddened to hear of Marty's illness and his passing. I played hockey with Marty from when we were 9 or 10 years old all the way through high school at Fenwick. Marty was a real down to earth person who always called a spade a spade. He was a talented, fun guy with a big heart. So sorry he suffered.

The memorial mass for Marty was absolutely beautiful today. The pictures brought back memories of what a happy, wonderful young man Marty was. The eulogy from Kathleen and the rest of the girls was so beautiful and touching. The family did an amazing job of sending Marty off with grace, dignity and lots of love. AMEN!

When I was young, I loved watching Marty play hockey with my brothers. When I was older and worked with Marty at Duffys, I loved the conversations we had. I'm sorry he had such a rough time. He is in a better place now. I will keep Marty and entire Costello family in my thoughts and prayers.

The passing of a fellow class mate reminds us of how precious life is and how quickly it can be taken away. May the family remain strong and continue to live with a positive spirit. Peace to all.

Very sorry to hear the news about Marty. He was a small guy with a giant heart. I loved playing hockey with him. He was fearless, funny and just a joy to be around. (Heaven help you if you were on the opposing team!)

Condolences to all the Costellos and to what I am sure are Marty's many, many close friends. He was the kind of guy you couldn't help but love.

Dear Kay, Jim, and all the Costello family/extended family:

Please accept my deepest and most heart-felt condolences at this time. The world will be a much less joyful place now, but the heavens will be filled with joy and laughter. Nobody could brighten a room (or a heart!) like Marty could; he brought much happiness to me and my girls during our marriage, and my mother and family held him in the highest regard. He will be greatly missed! I know Marty is in heaven, and I am so happy that he and I remained friends throughout these many years. I'm particularly grateful to have been in regular touch with him during the past 7 months. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless...

Dear Costello Family, extended families and friends,

Please accept my deepest sympathies and sincere condolences on the passing of Marty Costello. I was shocked to hear the news that he became ill and I had sent him a little note. Cancer has touched my life in many forms through my loved ones and I am no stranger to the fighting, the lost battles and the prevails. My mom broke the news to me Sat of his passing and I was deeply saddened. I spent my evening at the driving range and mini golfing as a tribute. He had taken Colleen and I to the range a few times and we had gotten pretty good, but we had a good teacher. I no longer hit balls like I was once able to when Marty coached us. I pray that he is in peace now and that he becomes your guardian angel and that his memory lives in your hearts forever. May God be with you all during this time of sorrow and remind you of all the happy times to celebrate the entity that Marty was.

You all are in my thoughts and prayers and I hold you close to my heart during this time and I ask our Lord to bless you all and help comfort the hurt that you are feeling.

I apologize that I will be unable to make the services, but I will be sending a donation to the hospice as requested. Please let me know if there is something else I can do (my uncle Mike Trant can provide you with my contact information). May Marty Rest in Peace.

Dear Costello Family,
I was very sad to hear about Marty. Sending my deepest condolences and prayers your way. I have many fond memories of Marty from when he and my mom were married... playing Gin Rummy, having some talks with him during my teen drama years, and his incredible vocabulary! I know he was in a lot of pain, and am glad his suffering is over. Thinking of your family through this difficult time.
