Not sure what to say?

I was a student teacher at Chrysalis in 1978. I came across some correspondence from Michael and decided to try to find him and write to him. I'm sorry to hear that he is gone. As a young college student, Michael was a model to me as a teacher and activist. He was gentle and encouraging, and made such a difference to me and to so many young people. My sincere condolences. I am so grateful to have crossed paths with him.

I recently found out that Michael had passed. I wished I had known because I would have loved to pay my respects. Michael married me. Okay, he married my husband and me, back in 1980. (He would've smiled at that). I was a student at Chrysalis Learning Community and among the class of 1976. The gentle, strong, humorous power of the man cannot ever be forgotten nor diminished by the passage of time. We are all simply better for having known him. Prayers sent out to his loving family.

God Bless Michael`s family: He has & will have so many friends thru eternity. Those of us who went to High School with him knew him well. He was a great individual and had integrity, of which, no one will be able to ever contradict. We knew you well Michael, and may you be eternally blessed & forever remembered.

As a student in Alvernia's Wonder Program and the first graduating class of Chrysalis Learning Community, Michael and a small group of instructors had a great impact on the person I am today. Michael was the definition of gentle.

Even though our paths had come together for a brief moment on the road of life, I am a better person for it.

To Michael's family, I am sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you in your tome of sorrow.

Rest In Peace Michael and may Perpetual Light shine upon You

I am so sorry to here of your loss. Michael was my advisor at Alvernia Wonder Program, back in 1975. He truley was amazing he had the ability to listen to your views, you did not need to agree as long as you listen to his views. His legacy will live on in the many lives he touched. Just one of many girls who had a HS cursh on him. My Prayers are with your family

I'm sorry to read about your loss. May you draw close to God in prayer and find comfort in reading his Word.

The first time we visited Wellington Avenue Church, Michael was the Guest Preacher. He said "When you walk through those red doors - you are now welcome to be who you are and who you want to be. Women can be leaders, man can be nurturers, gay people can hold hands, children can be active, people with handicaps can be all the things they are that are not handicapped." I will always remember Michael giving me that sense that God's love is a welcoming community of friends.
