Dr. Mihailo "Mike" A. Markovic passed away April 25, 2007. He was born on January 30, 1924, in Serbia and immigrated to Chicago in 1962. He taught at the University of Illinois, Chicago for thirty years and became the Head of the Oral Radiology Department. Upon retiring, he split his time between Wheaton and Scottsdale, AZ. He was a guest lecturer on Classic Opera at Arizona State University. In 2004, he published a book of poetry, Songs of Love, Youth, Sadness and Anticommunism.
He will be missed by his brother Radmilo (Mirjana) Markovich; uncle of Marina and Marko (Gwendolyn); great-uncle of five.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
