Ozella Middlebrooks (Snookie) age 90, passed away February 21, 2015. She was a resident of Gary, IN for 80 years, formerly of Indianapolis, IN; attended Lincoln Elementary School, Roosevelt High School and Purdue University Calumet Campus where she graduated as a Nurse in 1956; retired from the Methodist Hospitals after 22 years of service; member of Washington Street Church of God. Preceded in death by parents Evelyn Morton and Mozell Middlebrooks; stepfather, Charles Letson; daughter, Donna Woods; granddaughter, Yolanda Johnson. Survived by two sons, John Purdimon and Arthur Puckett; five daughters, Annette (Floyd) Fason; Nancy Johnson; Benita White; Karen Burrell; Sandra (Victor) Coleman, Milwaukee, WI; sister, Louise Jones; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren. Visitation: Saturday February 28, 2015 (9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m.) Funeral service: 11 a.m., Washington Street Church of God, 2101 Washington Street, Gary, IN Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, Gary, IN
