Patricia Pantelis Obituary
Patricia Ann Pantelis - passed away this last Saturday. She finally lost a long battle with cancer that was diagnosed over two decades ago. She survived several rounds of chemo therapy - radiation therapy and two bone marrow transplants during the course of her disease. There were times that her Doctors felt there was nothing further they could do and they expressed frustration and sorrow. Not Patricia, or Patti, to her family and friends. She had 2 young children to raise, a husband to care for, and several siblings that she loved and wanted to be there for in their times of need. Unselfish to the end she fought with her last breaths to wait for her husband and sons to be by her side and they were with her at the end. Even though half of her life-time was compromised and the treatments were very hard to endure ,those that knew, her friends and coworkers, she was a great lady and a great friend. I can't tell you how blessed I was to have Patti in my life for over 30 years - when you know what is really important in life as Patti always did and tried to teach us life takes on a whole new meaning. We are all going to miss her very much. Patti is survived by her two Sons, Patrick Anthony Pantelis and Christopher Thomas Pantelis and her Husband Thomas Roy Pantelis. Her best friend in life and big Sister Maureen -Nolan - of Chicago Il. Her brother John Nolan and his Wife Barb. Her loving sister Gwen Fialkowski and her Husband Bob. Her nieces Katie and Kelly Nolan and Laura Fialkowski and her nephew Michael Fialkowski of California. Most of all she will be missed by her loving and blessed Mother Irene Nolan of Tinley Park. Irene continues to fight the good fight for her family - her Husband Jack a former career Chicago Fireman passed away over 10 years ago. I hope we can all take comfort in knowing they are reunited again along with many Aunts and Uncles and that we can carry on as she would want us to knowing that love and family is the foundation of life. In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations to be made to www.helphopelive.org and enter Patti Pantelis in the "Find a patient box" on the home page. Visitation Friday January 4th 9:00 AM Saint Theresa Parish 455 N. Benton Street, Palatine Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 AM
