Bob Feie, a unique spirit
Peg, Jon and Vanessa, though we have never met, and Wil and Gunnar you probably don't remember coming with your Dad to our house on Logan Blvd. when you were little boys, I want you all to know how wonderful a friend Bob was to me and to my late husband George. You should also know that every time I was with him, he talked about all of you with immense pride and love.
And what a joy he was to work with. I first met him when he was with Boller Coates and we instantly connected. He was full of great ideas, stood by them firmly but graciously, and stayed with me as a designer for the ten years I worked as dir. of corporate communications for Leo Burnett Co. That alone speaks to his immense talent and to his loyalty.
Long after that, he became the moving force behind George's autobiography LUCKY GEORGE. After reading the manuscript, Bob said he would design the book if George would publish it. And that's how it happened. I am forever grateful to have had Bob in my life for 40 years as friend, mentor, and as a superb artist who consistently took my breath away with his work.
I can only imagine how much you will miss him. If there's anything I can do for any of you, please let me know. And please let me know when his memorial is.

I was sad today when I read Bob's obit. But it reminded me of all the kind things he did for the Scott family.
If you ask my sons, it was definitely the 4th of July on Ardmore Beach. They could barely wait until it was dark.
If you ask Steve, it was bumping into Bob in the neighborhood and always meeting a person who had time to chat and "catch up"
If you ask me, it was when he helped Jacques Ames and me on the last yearbook for St. Ita's School.
Bob was a kind, generous man. He left the world a better place.
May the wind be at your back, Bob.
