Bob Strube was one of the first true gentleman I met in the produce industry.
Honest, sincere and a fair person to work with.
I always strived to live up to the reputation and standard he set as I was growing up in the industry.

Bob Strube set the standard for honesty, integrity and humanity. He was my mentor, partner and friend and never failed to do work for the neediest folks in our society. It was a privilege to know him and he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wonderful family.

Heartfelt condolences to Helen, Bob Junior and Sue, Janet and Tim Fleming and all your dear families from Ray and Elly Clark on behalf of the 115 members of the Leafy Greens Council.
In 1975 the Leafy Greens Council began under the pioneering guidance and inspiration of Bob Strube, Sr to educate consumers about the nutritional value of eating leafy greens. This goal evolved in the 1990's into the Council's promoting learning resources throughout the United States for elementary-age school children. A pioneer, a generous man of integrity. Bob, we love you and we miss you.

To the Strube Family: I have heard that name all my life growing up with my Dad at the market along with my uncle for so many years. The Strube name was "the market"!

Our deepest sympany for your loss.

I never heard a bad word from my Dad or my uncle about Bob Strube.

He was the same age as my Father would have been if he were still with us.

To my dear Strube Family,

Since my first day on the market, I have been working with your family and I can honestly say it was the only work environment where my brother & I have felt like we belonged. Strube quickly became a huge part of my life & I still feel like I am part of something great. Not many people know but Mr. Strube helped me start my business & mentored me in many ways. The 20 years I have been involved have been proud years for me & I hope for many more with the great family I am proud to be part of. If I could accomplish a 20th of the great things Mr. Strube has accomplished, I would be proud. I am very sad to see a great man leave us but I must add that he has raised a great family that I enjoy being around and have no doubt in my mind they will keep adding to what was started many years ago.It has been my pleasure to be around such a great man.
