Russel J. Francis age 88 passed away Tuesday October 23, 2012 at Hinsdale Hospital, late of Plainfield, formerly of Savoy. A veteran of WWII serving US Army and recipient of three purple hearts. Beloved husband of Patricia Francis; loving father of James (Adrienne) Francis, Deanne (Steve) Karr and Raymond (Marilyn) Skillings; dear brother of Gladys Smith; cherished grandfather of Jordan, Nicholas Francis, Nicholas, Lucas (Laurren) Karr, Kimberly-Karr (Alan) Chappel, April and Adam Skillings; great grandfather of Charrlotte Karr and Caleb Chappel; uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Marion and Mable Francis; son Samuel Francis; sister Alice Francis; also a grandson. Visitation Friday, 3 to 9 p.m. at the Anderson Memorial Chapel, 606 Townhall Dr. in Romeoville. Funeral Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Andrew Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Interment to follow St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park. (815) 886-2323.
