Scott Amdur Obituary
Scott Amdur, 51, of Highland Park, Ill., died peacefully in his Evergreen, Colo., home on March 5, following a brave battle with brain cancer. He is survived by beloved sons, Brian and Michael, and their mother, Diane Amdur; devoted sister, Amy Amdur of Highland Park, and niece and nephew, Hannah and Sam; and many caring aunts, uncles, cousins, extended relatives and friends. Scott was preceded in death by his loving parents, Barbara and Steven Amdur of Highland Park, Chicago area real estate developers and philanthropists, as well as his partner, Laurie Zarlengo of Golden, Colo. In addition to developing residential and commercial real estate in both the Chicago and Denver areas, Scott served the Colorado community with his award-winning, mountain rescue and paramedic work. Funeral service will be held in Evergreen, Colo., at Congregation Beth Evergreen on March 8, at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made in Scott's name to the American Brain Tumor Association (www.abta.org) or to Congregation Beth Evergreen's "Scott Amdur Israel Scholarship Fund" (www.bethevergreen.org).
