I just learned about Shaun. Gave me an empty feeling to know that this world will have to go on without him. He was bigger than life. Never known anybody like him, really. I first met Shaun in 1960 on my bike, over in front of the Roosevelt Park building, right after we moved to Glenview from Ohio. I had the good fortune to have his friendship through Junior High and High School. I went off to Denver University my freshman year, and the next year, who shows up? Shaun. So I was blessed with his magnanimous persona in Denver too, and later, Boulder, up on the Hill' with Mark Kilgore and Jay Simon. Great times, made so much more alive and enjoyable with him. I have felt for many years that I wanted to make a pilgrimage to Arizona to bask in his light. Feeling sad now that I won't have the opportunity.

Mary,
In trying to get a message to Shaun about the death of our friend Alan Kampe, I came across Shaun's obituary. Needless to say, I was saddened, and wish to convey my condolences to you and your family. The pictureof him is with myself (far right), Scott Clark (1st left) and Mike Kreider (far left). Both Mike and Scott have also passed.
