To Judy and all the family.

this comes from Australia and a very old cobber of Shelly. He and I were students in London in 1961, we travelled to Eastern Europe and Israel together and drove across communist Eastern bloc to return to the UK. we had been in intermittent contact ever since. both of us lawyers with a social conscience. Shelly was a contributor not a drawer, an irreverent spark not a pastiche. His memory will live in the minds of many of us colonials.

Dear Kim and Family,

On behalf of the Petey Greene Family, I extend our sincere condolences on the passing of your Father. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting him, I have heard so many wonderful stories about him from his Princeton classmates.

The loss of a cherished loved one always leaves a terrible void. We trust that the memory of you Father's generosity, kindness and all of the good that he did will help to fill that void. We're keeping you all in our prayers.

This is late but I thought this might be appreciated. I will always cherish the moments spent with you guys, over 15 years later I still have this.

Dear Judy and Family,
Shelly was a wonderful and very smart mensch whom I first met when both Judy and Shelly joined the BPI Board. He accomplished much and cared for many in advancing social and economic justice and better housing for many. My condolences to the Baskin-Wise family.

Dear Judy, Jon, and Family, I was privileged to know Shelly over many years. He quietly did good, not only through charitable giving but also professionally. And he was always a delightful person to talk to on topics ranging from real estate, to the White Sox, to what the boys were doing at school. My heartfelt condolences. Shelly will be missed by many.

DEAR JUDY AND FAMILY

SHELLY WAS ONE OF THE MOST INTELLIGENT, SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE AND GENEROUS PERSON IT WAS MY PRIVILEGE TO KNOW. I LOVED HEARING HIS INSIGHTFUL, SOMETIMES CRITICAL VIEWS COVERING A WIDE RANGE OF SUBJECTS.

NO PERSON HAD A MORE LOVING, SUPPORTIVE FAMILY . THE FACT THAT HE WAS SURROUNDED BY HIS LOVED ONES AT THE END OF LIFE IS A TRIBUTE TO HOW HE LIVED HIS LIFE AS A LOVING HUSBAND, FATHER AND GRANDFATHER. HE WAS AN INSPIRATION TO HIS FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES.

I WILL MISS SHELLY. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.

I remember Shelley bringing Judy and me ice cream and watching the news one night after a long day of their helping Facing History. We were all exhausted. Shelley got us the ice cream anyway. What a nice man. I hope that memory gives Judy a small smile in this sad time. Thinking of you all and wishing you peace.
