Steven Ogdon Gardner, 70, of Lakewood Ranch, Florida passed away Monday February 13, 2017. Born in Oak Park, Illinois to the late Lloyd T. Gardner and the late Betty F. Ogdon Gardner. Steve worked in insurance marketing for many years. He will be remembered as a man of integrity and generosity. Steve had a sense of humor, was kind hearted and people loving. Steve is survived by his cherished and beloved wife, Paree Sekeris Gardner and his brother L. Thomas Gardner, Jr. A committal service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 24, 2017 at Elmwood Cemetery and Mausoleum, 2905 Thatcher Road, River Grove, Illinois 60171. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Saint Barbara Greek Othodox Church Scholarship Fund, the GOYA or Ladies Philoptochos Scholarship Fund, 7671 North Lockwood Ridge Road, Sarasota, Florida 34243. "To live in the hearts of those we left behind is not to die." T. Campbell Cumberland Chapels are in charge of the arrangements.
