Mom, I know you always looked out after Joe, I am hoping when I came into his life you might have been a little less worried about him.
I love you dearly as my Mom

Feels like yesterday that I just sang Happy Birthday to You, and just like a vapor you're not on this Earth. I love you Grandma Vi.
I love how much you loved babies - wow, I never met someone who loved babies as much as you.
I love how I can still hear your voice on the phone, and at the end of every conversation you would say: "You take care of those babies. I love you, Becca. Thank you for calling."
I LOVE how I (and everyone) knew EXACTLY what (and who) you liked and thought - you were such a forthright person. You were such a nice and loving grandmother, but make no mistake, we all knew your opinions on social/political matters and people.
I loved how much you like playing poker and Hawaiian music, Hawaiian Flowers, and well everything Hawaiian.
I love how you taught me to play Tonk, and then I taught my HS class how to gamble (with nickels and dimes.....and got in a little trouble for it).
I loved siting in the candlelight (no electricity) during a hurricaine and playing yahtzee with you and Grandpa.
I love that you came to see me graduate high school.
I love the Christmases you came to Florida and taught me to make Mexican Wedding Balls and squeeze grapefruits on Christmas morning.
I love how tiny your feet and hands were.
I love HOW BEAUTIFUL you were from a young woman to 92!
You had some strong genes to make your children and GREAT GRANDCHILDREN gorgeous too.
I loved playing in your house at Irving with my 30+ cousins....who has a Grandma and Grandpa with 10 kids, so I got to have so much fun playing ghost in the graveyard and tag when we went to Irving.
I love how you loved my husband and always had open arms for a hug whenever you saw him.
I love your name. You knew that if our son was a girl, he was going to be "Viola."
I love how you and Grandpa made it through WW2 and life safely - without that grace and safety, none of this/us would be.
I can't believe you're gone.
God knows what happens now, I guess that is what faith and hope are all about.
So to the farm girl from Southern Illinois who ended up being my Grandma, I hope whatever it is that happens next is somehow even better than the last 92 years.
