Your great achievement of founding Monogram Models helped me to grow and learn in my formative years. It has provided me with a wonderful hobby for over 45 years now. I cannot say thank you enough. Rest in peace, Mr. Reder. You will never be forgotten.

Thank you, Mr. Reder, as your company's products have given me many, many hours of enjoyment, and still do. I'm going to build one of my Classic Monogram kits in your memory-

For much of the last two years on Saturday mornings, we joined Mr. Reder for breakfast with the other men at the Hyatt Assisted Living Facilities. He kept the conversations lively, always showing a positive approach. We loved to hear his stories of building the business at Monogram and he welcomed our stories of constructing his model kits. The men praised him for singing in the ensemble. Most of all, we respected him as a loving, gracious, kind Christian man. We grieved as we saw him fading away and will truly miss him. Tom and I have very separate but equally strong and happy memories of Uncle Bob. When Uncle Bob and Aunt Bee visited for mom and dad's 60th anniversary here in Phoenix, Tom and Bob 'bonded' over modeling. Tom treasures the signed book Bob sent. And I, as one of the cousins, recall the days on Audubon Road when I was a youngster -- Bob was very kind to me and I admired his consistently quiet strength. Peace to all of you, his children, grand- and great-grandchildren.

My sympathies to Mr. Reder's family, The hobby I love wouldn't have been possible without the tireless work of people like him, & his efforts are much appreciated. RIP good sir. You will be remembered.

I am truly saddened by Bob's passing. I corresponded with him for many, many years about the history of the model car hobby, and about Monogram's involvement with Darryl Starbird (another hero of mine). Bob was always a gentlemen of the highest order; he made such a great difference in a hobby that has meant so much to so many millions of hobby kit builders.
It will be my sad honor to add your name to the In Memeoriam list that the International Model Car Builders' Museum maintains, and I'll add your obituary to the file the Museum has on your great life.
I'll miss you, Mr. Reder.

Knew Bob from my days at Monogram in the 1990s when he would sometimes visit. He and I had some very nice chats about the "old days' of modeling and I always enjoyed seeing him. He was one of the pioneers of our hobby.

As one of the founders of Monogram Models, Bob's name wasn't known to this builder until the 1960s. I had the privilege of being allowed to write how-to articles for Monogram Models starting in 1966. None of that would have been possible if Bob had not founded Monogram and issued so many great kits over the years. Over the years I met Bob several times and always enjoyed talking with him. I treasure the autographed copy of his personally published history of Monogram Models and use it often as a reference for my model columns. His passing closes one of the last doors to the founding of the model kit hobby and while Bob will be greatly missed, his legacy will live on and his name remembered.

I was sad to hear about Bob's passing. He and his family are in my thoughts and prayers. I have fond memories of Bob and Bernice at their Valley Lo home, when my grandpa Phil played santa to all the kids, the summers we visited for swimming and sailing at the lake.
I will always remember...

I was sorry to hear about Bob's passing. I have fond memories of a Christmas our family shared with my grandpa Phil as santa. Bob & Bernice always opened their Valley Lo home to us and many others. Fun in the summer swimming and sailing in the lake. I will never forget. My thoughts and prayers to Russell and the entire family.

Your parents were always so welcoming to all of us "kids" who came to hang out at the lake in Valley Lo. Lots of good memories......

Oh how we loved Bob and Bernice here at Vi at the Glen. Having them sing in our Senior Chorus (The Classic Harmonizers) was a great joy for all of us. Music was a very big part of their lives and we shared in the joy. May God bless your family and the wonderful memories with which you have been blessed.
