Obituary Condolences

Dena Anastos, nee Mulopulos, beloved wife of the late Themis "Ted" N. Anastos, retired Major U.S. Air Force and General Counsel at Cartage Exchange of Chicago; loving mother of Nicholas T. (Athena) and Dr. John P. (Julie) Anastos; proud grandmother of Thomas, Elizabeth, Christopher, Todd, Dennis and Jonathan; dear sister of Dr. Sam (Helen) and George (Ann) Mulopulos; devoted aunt and godmother of many. Dena led a life filled with multiple pursuits, but preeminent among these were her love of music and flowers. She was a voice major and graduate of the Sherwood School of Music and followed a career as a vocalist and subsequently as a music teacher. Later, she studied floral arts, owned "Flowers by Dena" and became a Master Gardener. Dena was also President of the Garden Club of Morton Grove and served as a volunteer at the Chicago Botanic Gardens. Visitation Sunday, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Smith- Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago. Family and friends will meet Monday morning at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, 5649 N. Sheridan Rd., Chicago, for Visitation from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. By Dena's wish, memorial donations to the Chicago Botanic Gardens, 1000 Lake Cook Rd., Glencoe, IL 60022 would be appreciated. Arrangements by JOHN G. ADINAMIS FUNERAL DIRECTOR, LTD.
