Alfred F. Geyer Obituary
Alfred F. "Fritz" Geyer, 83 , at rest January 7, 2013. Over 60 year resident of Lisle Alfred was a veteran of the Korean War, where he served with distinction as an Engineer in the US Army. Known as "Fritz" to family and friends, he spent his 55 year career as a Union Carpenter/Contractor. Fritz was a avid golfer who scored the rare achievement of two hole-in-ones on the same hole at River Bend Golf Course, both within the same month. Beloved husband of Agnes (nee Shindelar). Loving father of Cynthia Geyer-Fligel, Joseph R. (Christanna) and Christopher D. (Deborah) and the late Celeste (d. 1998) and infant Christopher (d. 1955). Devoted grandfather of 7, great grandfather of 5. Dearest brother of Dorothy (the late Tedd) Lange, Frances Geyer and Leonard (Mary) Geyer Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews Funeral Friday January 11, 2013 at 9:30 A.M. from Blake-Lamb Funeral Home 5015 Lincoln St (Route 53 & Short St.,1/2 mile south of Ogden Ave./Rt.34 ), Lisle to St. Joan of Arc Church for a 10 A.M. Funeral Mass. Interment Lisle Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 3-8 P.M.
