Richard L. Werner, 85, of Chicago passed away peacefully at home March 4, 2014. U.S Army Veteran, Korean Conflict. Beloved husband of Marianne M. (nee Nord) for 60 years; loving father of Linda (Robert) Bury and the late Paul Werner; proud grandfather of Sara and Elizabeth Bury; devoted son of the late Maria and late Knute; dear brother of the late Elvie (late Bro) Lynch, late Norma (late Emil) Vogeler, Ruth (late George) Finlay, Betty (late Robert) Stettka, Nora (late Donald) Johnson, late Jackie, Ronald ("favorite sister in law" Marilyn), and Anita (late Bud) Nayder; fond uncle and great-uncle of many. Memorial visitation Saturday, March 8th, from 10am until the time of service at Noon at The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 7800 W. McCarthy Rd, Palos Heights, IL. Private interment at Chapel Hills Garden South Cemetery, Oak Lawn, IL.
