(formerly Sister Mary Laurentia SSJ/TOSF) age 87, died suddenly Loving Sister of Rose (late Leonard) Turnelius, Marcella (Gilbert) Opferman and Lorraine (Clyde) Sana and the late Mary (Late Michael) Rimkus, late Sophie (late Ben) Dvorak, late Michael (late Bernice) Bendik, late Irene (late Everett) Allman, late Ann (late John) Kronenberger, late Frank Bendik, late Helen (late John) Sperlak and the late Emily (late Harry) Sponberg. Aunt to many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and longtime and devoted friend to Sister Lois Bromark SSJ/TOSF, Donna Krieger, Mariann Augustine, Anita Maska and Susan Nugent. Member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis for 70 years. Served as an elementary and secondary teacher and school counselor in the Archdiocese of Chicago at St. Mary of Perpetual Help, Lourdes High School and St. Barbara High School; Principal of Lourdes High School; Pastoral Care Minister at Holy Cross Hospital; Staff Member at the Christine Center for Meditation in Willard Wisconsin; Respite Care Specialist for Community Support Services; Program Supervisor and Education Coordinator at Misericordia Home South in Chicago, IL; and various volunteer positions in Chicagoland including prison ministry, Hospice care worker and services to homeless families.
