Dolores was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hinckley, IL where she served as the church organist for over 30 years, as well as the Acting Financial Secretary and Treasurer for many years. Dolores was an avid golfer and was a member of the Indian Oaks Country Club in Shabbona, IL where she served as the Ladies Golf Chairman and helped start the annual "Pink Ribbon Golf Event," now in its 14th year. She was also the Financial Secretary for the Ladies League at the Edgebrook Country Club in Sandwich, IL and served as a DeKalb County Election Judge for many years. The family gratefully acknowledges the loving care provided by the many doctors and nurses at the Rush Copley Cancer Center and the DeKalb County Hospice. Dolores proudly wore the color pink in remembrance of her daughter, Laurie Whitt, who also fought a brave battle against breast cancer.
