Joseph S. Hackett, at rest on July 9, his 85th birthday, surrounded by his loving family. Longtime Glenview resident. Beloved husband of the late Mary Jule nee McDermott, loving mother of their 8 children and also the beloved husband of the late June nee Mackie; loving father of Debbie (John) Cavalier, Julie Hackett, Jane (Tom) Mammoser, Paul (Denise) Hackett, Suzann Winberg, Carol (Patrick) Ruehrdanz, Constance (Tim) Wilson and John (Lara) Hackett; proud grandfather of Shannan, Kelly, Colleen, Bridget, Erin, Dan, Jack, Jule Anne, Mark, Kathleen, James, Dolores, Annie, Joseph, Lauren, Celia, Daniel, Hannah, Luke, Mary Jule, Mary Grace, Alyssa, Stephanie, Ella, Henry and Dylan; cherished great grandfather of Reagan; dear brother of the late Dick, Don, Mary Pat and Bob; loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation 3-8 PM Sunday, July 13 at N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, 1240 Waukegan Rd. (just south of Lake Ave. on west side), Glenview. Funeral mass 10:30 AM Monday, July 14 at St. Catherine Laboure Church, 3535 Thornwood Ave., Glenview. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
