Phil Klinsky Obituary
Phil J. Klinsky, age 75 passed away at his home in Sarasota on July 22, 2014 with his wife Gladys by his side. He was the son of Libby and Joseph, and he is survived by his children, Jody (Jeff) Gordon and Frances (Mark) Rosenstein, both of Chicago and Larry (Trenda) Klinsky of Tennessee; stepdaughters, Wendy (Kenneth) Kirsner of California and Stacey Grad (Rodger Farquhar) of Sarasota, FL and 10 grandchildren, Julia, Rebecca, Libby, Luka, Logan, Noah, Noah, Spencer, Amanda, Jacob and Heidi. Phil was in the food business in Chicago for most of his life, and later owned Phil Pickle's Deli on Siesta Key and Two Clowns Restaurant in Bradenton. He had two fun careers, one in the Chicago TV series, Crime Story as the stand-in and photo double for Dennis Farina, as well as several movies in the 1980's; and then as the owner of Mah Jongg Madness Tournaments and Cruises. His passion was clocks; and he had a green thumb, giving every clipping a second chance. A Celebration of His Life will be held Sunday, August 3, 2014 at 1 pm at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota, FL 34232. Phil was truly a gentleman; a strong, sweet, fun and loving man.
