Mary Nickel Obituary
Mary Louise Nickel (nee Breuer), passed away Aug. 3, 2014. Loving wife of the late Melvin. Dear mother of Elizabeth Overleas-Russ (Aaron), Patricia Hepburn (fiancé Don Galati), Sheila(Daniel)Stojak and William Nickel. Fond grandmother of Michael(Davina) Overleas, Kirsten Hepburn, David Hepburn(fiancee Elizabeth Turnbull), Matthew (Hilary), Luke(Lauren) and Brian Stojak, Alexander and Olivia Nickel. Great-grandmother of Daniel, Nicholas, Lila, Bella, Avery and Charlotte. Sister of the late William B.(the late Vivien) Breuer. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Born in Rolla, MO, Aug. 12, 1920. Graduated from Stephens College and the University of Missouri, with a degree in Education. Mel and Mary Lou were married for 63 wonderful years. They moved to Beverly in 1950, where they raised their four children. She was a long standing member of St. Barnabas Parish and was a loyal and dedicated member of the Beverly University Club, Garden and Book Clubs. Mary Lou treasured the time spent with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her kind and gracious manner. Her warmth and her smiling face made others believe that anything was possible. Visitation Thursday 4-8pm at Donnellan Funeral Home 10525 S. Western Ave. Family and friends will meet Friday at St. Barnabas Church, 10134 S. Longwood Dr. Chgo. for Mass 10 a.m. Int.
