I was saddened to hear of Bob Yonco's passing.
I worked with and danced with Bob and Fran Yonco while we were members of the Folk Dance Leadership Council of Chicago.
We will celebrate Bob's passing tonight with a dance! He always liked Orient, so we will dance Orijent for him at our dance at the Latvian Center this Friday.
While driving to the Library that morning, we heard on the radio, about the tragic demise of Space Shuttle Columbia.
I remembered last time I saw and danced with Bob Yonco, Feburary 1, 2003. It was the same day as the the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster AND because my dance group (Ethnic Dane Chicago) had worked very hard with the Serbian group to pull off this performance - we had probably 5-6 rehearsals on our own and about 6-8 joint performances, AND because I had not seen Bob in probably about 10 years.
