Lori I met you and your Mother when Shirley talked to the old time radio group in fountain hills. Shirley's memory of what it was like in Chicago's radio days was remarkable. She talked about things that I had long forgotten. Her love for you and your husband was evident when I talked with her during the brake. She will never be forgotten! I am originally from chicago and can remember my mom telling me how the highlight of her childhood was the little orphan annie show.

You could hear the love and pride in Shirley's voice when she introduced your next song on the Joe Riddle show. OMG, we are so sorry, My Daughter talked to Mrs. Cole on the Radio just over a year ago. She was so delightful. I remember thanking her for her work as "Little Orphan Annie" Her stories of her days as Annie and the memories of what it was like to live in those days were Historical events of a time gone by. My 12 year old will never forget Mrs. Cole "Annie" for as long as she lives, the world has lost a very special person. She wastruely the first female crime fighter and see will be missed. As I remember Mrs. Coles loving Daughter Lori was on the radio with her promoting her CD Never Too Late we listen often. Dedicating such a work of art to your mom was a very loving and unselfish thing, she must have been very proud.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. Cole. I listened to her on the radio as a child and enjoyed her program so much. She truly helped children of the depression era to have a few minutes each day of enjoyment in listening to her adventures.
My condolences to the family.
