Wexler, nee Frankel, beloved wife of Dr. Herman Wexler; loving mother of David (Gloria) Wexler, Judith Wexler (Bruce Menkes), and Naomi Wexler; cherished grandmother of Lena and Margo Menkes, Gabriella, Eliana, Netanel, Ariel and Amiel Wexler; loving sister of Betty (Dr. Irving H.) Rozenfeld and the late Rabbi Irving (Amy) Frankel; beloved daughter of the late Sam ("Shaika") and Manya Rivkah Frankel. Received a Ph.B. from the University of Chicago, an M.S.W. from the University of Illinois, and a B.J.S. from Spertus College of Judaica. Former Director of Education at North Suburban Synagogue Beth El, Congregation Solel, and Congregation B'nai Torah in Highland Park. Former social worker and teacher, and educated thousands of children on the North Shore. Strong supporter of Israel and active member of the Habonim Labor Zionist Youth Movement; former Camp Director at Habonim Camp Kinneret in Chelsea, Michigan. Temple services Wednesday, June 30, 2010 12 Noon at North Suburban Synagogue Beth El, 1175 Sheridan Rd., Highland Park, IL 60035, Interment Waldheim Cemetery, Forest Park.
