Obituary Condolences

Carol Mary Janopoulos, nee Komosa, 69, of Fort Myers, FL passed away Nov. 8, 2010 at Joanne's House at Hope Hospice. Formerly of Dundee, IL, Carol had been a seasonal resident of Florida for over 40 years. Her long time dream of becoming a permanent resident came true when she moved to Southwest Florida in 2002. Carol was born June 24, 1941 in Chicago, IL daughter of the late Adolph and Helen (nee Malec) Komosa. She was a graduate of Providence High School in Chicago, worked as a Travel Agent for a number of years, and spent the vast majority of her life as a homemaker, wife, and mother. Carol was blessed with many friends. The bonds she forged over the decades, the unwavering love, the commitment to friendship will last forever. Anyone who knew Mom would describe her as a fun loving person who never met a stranger. Always the consummate hostess, no one left Carol's company wanting for anything. Carol is survived by her loving sons, Jeffrey (Jennie) Janopoulos of Milwaukee, WI and Joel (Joanne) Janopoulos of Naples, FL; sister Dr. Geraldine Piorkowski of Chicago, IL; and grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Sloane and Roman. Services are pending and will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at Hope Hospice, in memory of Carol Janopoulos, 9470 Health Park Circle, Ft.
