Obituary Condolences

Seymour K. Shapiro, beloved husband of the late Virginia, nee Babbitt, the love of his life; devoted father of Margaret E. (James) Nyeholt and Rita A. Shapiro; cherished grandfather of Ilyce (Michael) Randell, Eric (Christina) Hartman, Robin and Karen Berman; loving great-grandfather of Maxwell Randell, Marcus Hartman, Alexander Randell and Jack Hartman; fond brother of the late Elaine (the late Fred) Feig and the late Selwyn Shapiro. Mr. Shapiro was a WWII Veteran, who served as a Captain in the US Army Air Corps., and was awarded both the bronze star medal and a presidential unit citation. His brilliance, integrity, and dedication served him well in his career as a structural engineer with the city of Chicago, for 38 years. "Pops" was always a source of knowledge, love and strength for his family and will be greatly missed. Graveside services Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at Westlawn Cemetery (Section E), 7801 W. Montrose, Norridge. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to Canavan Research Illinois, P.O. Box 8194, Rolling Meadows, IL, 60008, would be appreciated.
