Lynne A. Grossart, age 65, passed away on Feb. 24, 2011. Lynne's spirit is carried on by her children, Dean (Katherine) Grossart, Tami (Lawrence) Mertz; her stepchildren Nancy (Eric) Evans, Christopher (Daniela) Reiter and Angela Reiter; her beautiful grandchildren Cameron, Raina, Delaney, Teagan, Kyra, Lauryn, Henry, Horst, Karl, Kaylor, Clea, Chase, Sten, Hannah and Eliot. She and her soulmate, Horst Reiter spent their 23 years together caring for each other with loving hearts and traveling the world. She was a loving sister to William (Lesley) Baran; dear cousin of the Pike family; fond sister-in-law of Janet; and aunt of Tracey, Ron and Billy. Lynne was born and raised in Chicago by William Baran, a Chicago police officer and Dorothy Silverthorn Baran, a dancer and loving mother. She was a long-time employee of ADP and member of DAR and Steinmetz Alumni Association. Lynne had many best best friends whom she held close to her heart. Thank you to everyone who gave her love, understanding and support throughout her life. She treasured her friendship with you. The world has lost a wonderful person, but the angels are rejoicing that their friend has come home. Visitation Monday, Feb. 28, 3 to 9 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 W. Talcott Rd. (at Cumberland) Park Ridge. Friends will gather on Tuesday at 12:30 for a 1 p.m. Funeral service at the funeral home, Committal service at Acacia Park Cemetery.
