To the McNamara Family,
I just wanted to express my sympathy to you on the passing of your beloved ,Patrick. My sister, Michele, gave me the Blessed John Paul novena for Patrick which I have been praying for months. I'm sorry that the miracle we prayed for didn't happen. The only consolation is that he is free of pain and enjoying the love of God in heaven. I will keep you in my prayers. You have an angel watching over you.

My deepest sympathy to Patrick's mom, dad, brothers and sister. I only knew Pat through his cousin Meghan, but she conveyed his heart, wisdom and sly sense of humor. I can tell Pat had a lot of cheerleaders encouraging him through his nearly life-long challenge with cancer, but Meghan inspired a whole squad at Shedd Aquarium as she shared his ups and downs with us and gave us the chance to support Pat's Pack in fundraising for Children's Memorial. My thoughts are with you.

We knew of Patrick and have been kept up to date by our dear friend (and yours) Jim A. We have been praying for him and for you all for quite sometime. I was in tears as I read his email Friday regarding the news of Patrick's passing; however, certainly was a special and very touching note to read that his Grandpa Tom had a hand in his journey to heaven. Many from our group at church have been praying for him and thinking of you all for many many months. A friend of my mom's has also been praying for him and wrote me the following note yesterday, "I have only been praying for Patrick for about six months, but felt as if I knew him. I will never forget him or his family. Thank you for bringing him into my life."
God Bless You all, may you feel God's love and grace and find some peace and strength thru your friends, family and your faith.

Maureen
