To Arthur's family... my deepest condolences. We were associated for many years in the sixties on campus, and his guidance profoundly changed my life. As I became a clinical psychologist, we remained colleagues, and our paths would continue to cross. We continued a correspondence over some forty years regarding his scholarly pursuits, and occasionally he shared some of his wonderful poetry. I will deeply miss him, his influence in my life, and his spirit prancing upon this earth. The Greek gods now are blessed to have Arthur with them!

I am deeply saddened and so very sorry for the loss of your brother. Arthur was a wonderful, caring, and thoughtful person. I met Arthur when I was a student at the University of Illinois in the early 1970's. We remained friends and stayed in contact. I am half Greek, and we shared our heritage. When I first moved to Washington DC, he would visit when he was in town. Over the years, we wrote to each other; he would send me copies of his books, articles, postcards from Greece, and every year we exchanged Christmas cards. I miss Arthur very, very much.
