Franco A. Barsotti, age 74, Professor of Photography at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago for over 30 years passed away on June 6 in Coupeville, WA. Born and raised in Chicago's Historic Pullman area, he had made his home in Beverly and Chicago's Northside before retiring to Coupeville 10 years ago. Father of David Barsotti, Jenifer Rosian and Steven (Laila) Barsotti; loving "Nonno" of Anthony, Alyssa, Alexis, Christopher, Zara, Rumi and Lucca; former husband of Nan, nee Austin; son of the late Tarsilla and Alfredo Barsotti; brother of Agnes (Al) Tomei and Aldo (Dana) Barsotti; beloved colleague, teacher, mentor and friend of many. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 16 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (US Rt. 30, 3 Blks E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights. A memorial and celebration of Francos' life and works, will be held (date and times are pending).
