I goes without saying that I would like to express my deepest sympathy to you, your daughter Dawn and son-in-law Bruce. It's not much more than half a year ago that the two of you were for Jules' memorial.I still see you getting in the car and waving good-bye.

Don, Dawn and Bruce,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. I have many fond thoughts and memories of Mrs Westlake, she was my mentor and in many ways changed my life.
Mrs Westlake touched and influenced so many as a teacher, author and amazing role model for young woman, this world is better for having Mrs Westlake.
I would like to attend the memorial in November, I hope that I will be able to share with you in person what your wife & mother meant to me and how her influence & guidance helped to shape my life.

Mrs. Westlake was my mentor in many ways, although I am not sure she knew that. She was by far the most wonderful teacher I had at York and was the one who sparked my interest in sociology. Through the years I have thought of her often and I pray her family will be comforted in knowing she was a beautiful human being and will be greatly missed.

Dear Westlake Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Mrs. Westlake was my all time favorite teacher, she had a special way about her that no matter how your day was going she always added life to it. I was truly blessed to have her as a teacher at York for several classes. More recently I had the pleasure of having her and Mr.Westlake as guests at the class of 1980 Reunion, when I spoke to her on the phone she said that in all her years of teaching she was never invited to a reunion. The honor was all ours when they arrived she was welcomed with much love and gratitude by a
those of us that had her.It was a night to remember. She learned from many of us just how important she was to us and the positive impact she had in our lives. God needed an angel and he called her home.Your beautiful Helen will live on in my heart forever. Once again I am truly sorry for your loss. With My Deepest Heartfelt Sympathy,
