Obituary Condolences

Kevin Michael McKenna, born July 11, 1964, lost his battle with pneumonia and related organ failure on Sept. 23, at the Horizon Hospice Center in Chicago, IL. During his last days, he was surrounded by his loving family and friends. Kevin was the son of Mary and Jack McKenna, previously of Voorheesville, N.Y., and presently of Griffin, GA. He also is survived by his three brothers; sister; and six nieces and nephews. Kevin graduated from Voorheesvile High School, the University of Notre Dame and the University of Michigan Law School. After serving time in the Peace Corps in Botswana, Africa, he practiced law in Boston, Denver and Chicago. Wherever Kevin went, his friends and colleagues came to know him for a brilliant and inquisitive mind that never lacked for a well-founded opinion, always rooted in doing the "right" thing. A gathering will be held in Chicago in Kevin's honor on Sunday, Oct. 7, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Calo Ristorante, 5343 N. Clark St. Further tributes to Kevin's life can be found at: www.forevermissed/kevinmckenna.
