Because of her loving nature and open door policy, she was considered a second mother to many of her children's friends. Her sense of humor and concern for others, comforted countless people over the years. Betty will be remembered for her love of reading, gardening, and for her sharp sense of humor. She was knowledgeable and fascinated with art, antiques, genealogy, as well as, English and American History. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband and her son, John C.
