William Cook Obituary
William James Cook, 88, died peacefully on March 27th at Lexington Health Care Center in Wheeling. Bill was born on March 7, 1925 in Fort Smith, AR. A 1946 graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy, his post-graduate education included an S.T.B. from the Boston University School of Theology in 1952; and a Ph.D. in Education from Northwestern University in 1971. Throughout his life Bill's passion was always found in teaching and serving others. He was an instructor at the Naval Academy; a Methodist minister in Medford, MA; worked with the Council on Religion and International Affairs; as an administrator with the New Trier High School district; and as a consultant for the Detroit, MI and Springfield, IL public school districts. In later years he worked in AZ in real estate; and then played a primary role in the construction of a new school for the Navajo Educational Foundation. Bill is survived by his children Leslie; Kathy (Jorgensen); Debbie; and Tad; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Donations in Bill's memory can be made to the at alz.org.
