My sincere sympathy to the Merens and Blitstein families. I grew up across the alley from Mrs. Merens and was friends with Norwin and Lyle. Goldia was like a second mother to me, she always welcomed me into her home and I felt as though she treated me like another son. When I became an adult and came back to visit my parents, if I ran into to Goldia she would always give me a hug. She was a wonderful neighbor and a warm hearted woman. She will be missed by her family, friends and the neighborhood.
