Jerrold A. Basofin, age 68 of Chicago, IL. Son of the late David and Irene Basofin; survived by his fond and loving sister, Sharon Basofin; devoted and cherished lifelong friend, Geri Widdes; compassionate caregiver and friend, Victor Villan; many cousins; and a numerous, wonderful "circle of friends". Retired co-owner of Union Tysen, he was regarded as "The King of the Ticket Brokers." He was a member of several dance clubs. Jerry was recognized for his sparkling attire and inimitable style of dance which resulted in him, along with his partners, Geri Widdes and Kathleen Sauser, to win local and national competitions. He enjoyed musicals, phone conversations, good food, Fannie May Candies, playing cards and the company of good friends. Receiving will take place Tuesday, June 18, 2013 9:30am - 10:25am with funeral services 10:30am at Weinstein Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, IL 60091, 847-256-5700.
