James B. Cormack Obituary
James B. Cormack, age 90, of Lisle, IL, formerly of Westmont, IL, at rest Friday, November 1, 2013. He was born June 19, 1923 in Chicago, IL. Beloved husband to the late Liz and the late Jeanne, loving father of Sister Pat Cormack, SCSC, Rev. James Cormack, CM, Monica (Jeffrey) Nick, Jack (Dawn), Martin (Virginia), Anton (Nancy), Richard (Kathleen) and the late Thomas Cormack, NCM, adored grandfather of thirteen including the late Andrew Cormack, cherished great-grandfather of three, dear brother of Janet (Jack) Miller, Joan (James) Strassmeier, Barbara Sullivan and William (Judy). James served with the U.S Army in Europe during World War II and was a Purple Heart recipient. He held an undergraduate degree from University of Notre Dame and master's degrees from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Chicago and was employed for 41 years with White Cap Inc., Chicago, retiring in 1988. James was a longtime member of St. Mary of Gostyn Catholic Church, Downers Grove, IL and enjoyed photography. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Congregation of the Mission Western Province, 13663 Rider Trail North, Earth City, MO 63045 or Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross, 1400 O'Day Street, Merrill, WI 54452. Visitation Monday, November 4, 2013, 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St, Naperville 60540. Services will begin Tuesday, November 5, 2013, 9:45 A.M. from the funeral home and will proceed to a 10:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 1215 Modaff Rd., Naperville.
