Chris Karras Obituary

Chris, of Baltimore, MD, born in Chicago, IL, June 5th, 1924. Son of George and Constance Karras. Passed away Jan 4th, 2014. Survived by his devoted wife Deana, son Michael (Colleen), granddaughter Anibell, brother Tom (Lenore), sister Patricia Grevas (Ted). Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Graduated Tilden Tech January 1943. Enlisted in the USAAF, 1943-1946. Chris Attended the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana and earned his BFA and MFA in Arts. Worked at Smithsonian and the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C., retiring in 1985. He was an accomplished and passionate artist with works in many public and private collections. Memorial will be held in Baltimore, MD on June 6th, 2014.
