Dr. David Randolph Obituary
Dr. David Alexander Randolph, 73, was born in Flint, MI and spent his adult years in IL, first Winnetka, then Barrington Hills, where he passed away unexpectedly January 4, 2014. David's fabulous tenor voice served him well in University of Michigan's Glee Club of which he was very proud. From U of M (in the Chi Psi Fraternity), David went on to Northwestern University and Indiana University, earning his medical degrees and becoming a Plastic Surgeon. He enjoyed his career at Evanston Hospital and Resurrection Hospital, where he established a successful private practice. He was a respected physician, known for singing while he operated. He retired from Res in 2001. In his retirement, David continued to lead a robust life: fishing, singing, and spending time with his family. Papa Dave was beloved by his eight grandchildren. David treasured his family and is survived by his wife of 50 years Meridith (nee Gibbs), brother George Randolph, daughters Amy Randolph; Mary Dale (Chuck); Leslie Menikoff (Noah), and his eight grandchildren. We will celebrate his life: April 26th, 1 pm, at Presbyterian Church of Barrington., 6 Brinker Rd, Barrington Hills. Donations can be made to Medford Surgical Missions, 128 Greenway Circle, Medford, OR 97504.
