Gale Grossman Obituary
Gale Grossman, born Gale Stella Klein to Rachel and Louis Klein on May 21, 1929 in Eagle Lake, Main, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2014 in Agoura Hills, California. Gale was an independent woman in every role: she was a mother, an artist and art enthusiast, a friend, a wife, a grandmother, a teacher, a health advocate and a career counselor, who lived happily most of her adult life in Evanston, Illinois. She co-founded her own firm, Career Transition Consultants, took private clients, led seminars, worked at numerous colleges including Oakton Community College. Graduating from Boston University, National College of Education and receiving her Doctorate in Psychology from Northwestern University, Gale never stopped reading or learning. Gale was predeceased by her daughter Claire Grossman ( Paul) and is survived by her daughter Amy Raine (Kendall) of California, her grandchildren who she loved very much, Olivia and Harrison Raine, Margot and Carl Sonnenschein of Oregon, her brothers Milton Klein (Betsy), Morris Klein (Joan) of Massachusetts and Mervin Klein ( Mary) of Florida, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends throughout the country. Burial will be held at Beth Israel Cemetery in Portland Oregon in July. A memorial service will be held in the Evanston area at a future date.
