Harry C. Olson, 87, of Chicago, beloved husband and true love of the late Joan; loving father of Nancy (Jim) Hayes, Terri (Lou) LoBianco and Christy (Tom) Russell; devoted and proud grandfather of Christina, Michael (Keri), Amy (Jimmy), Nicole (K.C.), Tony, Frank (Ashley), and T.C. (Sunny); great grandfather to Kailey, Ethan, Ryan, Jack, Ella and Max; brother-in-law to Lowell and the late Nancy Stahl; uncle to Jeff Stahl and Sue Braley; son of the late Carl Tage (Inga) and Gerda Olson; cousin of many in Sweden who are close to his heart. Worked with his father and true friend in their bricklaying and tuckpointing business, Carl T. Olson & Son, which continues on in the hands of his good friend, Dean Kelly. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, December 13th, from 9:30 am until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 am, at Olson Burke/Sullivan Funeral and Cremation Center, 6467-77 N. Northwest Hwy. (one block north of Devon), Chicago. Arrangements entrusted to Cremation Society of Illinois. Info 800-622-8358.

Dear Christy, Terry & Nancy, I had the privilege to feel I was part of your family for over 40 years. My best memory of your dad is when it was Christy's 12th birthday and he took us out for dinner with your mom at a Chinese restaurant - Peking House on Devon. I never was in a nice restaurant before with white tablecloths and I ordered a hamburger. Your dads expression was priceless. I have never forgot his kindness and class . I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad knew he was deeply loved. He was a very proud & giving man.

Christy, Nancy and Teri:
The times we saw your dad, he had a smile on his face, something nice to say, and always made us laugh.
The closeness the three of you shared with him, is a testament of what a wonderful father and man he was. Your fond memories will be many ~ how lucky you are.

Dear Olson Family - I remember the day your dad had all three of you girls, put your hand print, or was it your foot print (?) in the cement on the west wall of your home. I was there that day and will always remember that. Is it still there?
